"For the Win"

Heidi Moss resides in Upstate New York, close to historic Saratoga Springs, New York.  Which provides ample opportunity for photographing the summer season of Thoroughbred racing at the historic track in Saratoga Springs.  Along with numerous other equine events through out the year. 

All paintings are created from the artists own photographs.  A self taught artist, her current style of watercolor painting evolved from highly detailed pencil drawings and a desire for rich vibrant colors in her paintings.  After some years of painting in oils, she once again attempted the watercolor medium and found it to her liking.  The paintings are created starting with a highly detailed drawing, which can take several hours before the painting process even begins.  Hot pressed watercolor paper is the artist preference for the smooth surface allowing for the high level of detail within the paintings. 

Original paintings all are matted simply in white or cream and framed with metal sectional frames with a narrow channel encasing the artwork.  This simple presentation approach is meant to focus all attention upon the painting.
